Karen Sulger graduated magna cum laude from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, earning a Masters in Oriental Medicine. Ms. Sulger specializes in the following areas:
Women’s Health Concerns: Karen has extensive training and experience in treating women’s health concerns, focusing on fertility, menopause, PMS and pregnancy care.
Pain Management: Karen also earned a national certification in “Acupuncture Orthopedics”, a course designed to help with diagnostic and treatment techniques for pain conditions, and she has extensive experience in treating pain conditions.
Facial Rejuvenation: She has additional training in “constitutional facial renewal acupuncture”, a technique designed to improve the complexion.
As owner of the Acupuncture Continuum in Encinitas, Ms. Sulger maintains one of the largest Chinese herbal apothecaries in San Diego County. She prescribes and custom-blends a variety of Chinese herbs specifically tailored to each client’s needs. Her mission is to use all aspects of Oriental Medicine to provide her clients with excellent natural health-care. Ms. Sulger lectures frequently and has appeared on radio and television.
The Acupuncture Continuum opened its doors in 1996, with its first location in Leucadia, California. Karen Sulger, L.Ac. is the lead acupuncturist and owner of this clinic, and also has a massage therapist on staff. The Acupuncture Continuum has a professional yet tranquil environment, offering appointments 5 days a week – Mondays through Fridays 9:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. We have a full herbal dispensary in our office, featuring powdered herbs, tinctures and prepared patent remedies.
