Free Acupuncture Treatments Through Veterans Choice Program

Did you know that Veterans may now receive acupuncture through the Veterans’ Choice Program?

Veterans Administration Approved Provider

Acupuncture Continuum, Inc. is now a Community Care provider for Veterans. There are so many benefits from acupuncture, and the VA recognizes those benefits for its Veterans.

How It Works

Firstly, the Veteran must receive approval from the VA’s primary care physician. We specialize in treating Veterans in our north San Diego County office. Our office does private acupuncture treatments in beautiful, relaxing rooms. Acupuncture can be helpful for:

  • Low back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Headaches, migraines
  • Knee pain
  • Hand/Foot pain
  • PTSD
  • Anxiety/Depression/Irritability

Battlefield Acupuncture

  • It can effectively control pain while reducing opioid use.
  • It offers an option for patients with a substance use disorder.
  • It may help with pain where conventional approaches have fallen short.
  • It can restore patients’ hope for pain management and better quality of life.
  • It is easy to deliver.
  • It is low-risk.

For a full list of what acupuncture treats, see the World Health Organization List under “Conditions We Treat”, under “About Us”.

“I’m an Army Vet with chronic pain, anxiety and depression. I was looking for relief without pain meds. After a few treatments at Acupuncture Continuum, the majority of my pain has subsided. I appreciate the treatments from Karen Sulger and the fact that the VA authorized treatment close to my home.”

Steve, age 60

“I had an injury when I was in my 20s in the Army which caused chronic PTSD, neck and shoulder pain, low back pain, insomnia and nightmares. I have found acupuncture to extremely helpful and relaxing. I have been seeing Karen off and on for the last few years with great success!”

Greg, age 72
